Masala Corn | Easy corn recipe

Masala Corn is a spicy and flavourful appetiser prepared with sweet corn, lemon juice and some spices. It is one of the quick and easy dishes to prepare. It is one of the best appetiser during cold and rainy days.

    1 cup = 240ml

    • 1 cup Sweet Corn
    • As required Salt
    • ½ tsp Chat Masala
    • ½ tsp Chilli Powder
    • ½ tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
    • 1/2 tbsp Coriander finely chopped
    • 1/2 lime Lemon Juice
    • 1 tbsp Butter melted


    • Boil sweetcorn for 5-7 minutes or until corn is soft and drain the water.
    • Transfer sweet corn to a bowl. Add chat masala, chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, salt, butter.
    • Now squeeze juice of half lime
    • Mix until well combined.
    • Enjoy warm spicy corn....



    Substitute butter with olive oil for healthier version/vegan version or you can totally skip butter.
    Adjust chilli powder, chat masala and cumin powder as per your preferred spice levels.
    Spicy Masala Corn tastes best when served warm.
    Frozen corn can be substituted with fresh corn.
    Fresh sweetcorn can be substituted with frozen corn kernels.
    Thaw frozen corn and heat in microwave for 2-3 minutes or until hot.
